Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of PaintingPricing Calculator ("we," "us," "the Site") at paintingpricingcalculator.com, including the free tools and the paid Pro workspace. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

What the Site is

PaintingPricing Calculator is a set of estimating and pricing tools for painting contractors: free job-cost, interior, and estimate template calculators, plus an optional paid Pro workspace with reusable rates, multi-surface projects, and profitability tracking. It's a calculation aid, not professional, financial, legal, or business advice — see the Disclaimer for the full scope of that.

Who can use it

The Site is intended for painting contractors and small painting businesses acting in a professional or business capacity. You must be able to form a legally binding contract to purchase Pro.

Accounts

There are no user accounts, usernames, or passwords on the Site. Free tools require nothing to use. Pro access is unlocked by a license key tied to your Dodo Payments purchase — see "Purchases and license keys" below.

Purchases and license keys

Pro is a one-time purchase ($99, lifetime access — no subscription) processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. When your payment succeeds, we generate a license key from that payment and email it to you. That key is what unlocks Pro in your browser — keep it somewhere safe, since we have no account system to look it up other than by re-verifying it against your original payment.

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change for future purchases; a change in price never affects a purchase you've already made.

Refunds

You can request a full refund of your Pro purchase within 7 days of the original payment date — just contact us with the email you paid with. If we approve a refund and Dodo Payments processes it, your Pro license is deactivated automatically the next time it's checked; your local project data is never deleted as part of a refund. Requests made after the 7-day window are considered at our discretion.

Your data, your responsibility

All estimate and project data you create lives in your own browser's local storage — we never receive or store a copy of it (see the Privacy Policy). This means:

• We can't recover your data if you clear your browser, switch devices, or lose access to the device you used.
• Backing up your own data (via the tool's export feature) is your responsibility.
• A refund, license issue, or account dispute has no effect on your locally-stored data either way — we have no ability to touch it remotely, for better or worse.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or defeat the license/ payment verification system.
• Use the contact form or any part of the Site to send spam, abuse, or unlawful content.
• Interfere with the Site's normal operation (e.g. attempting to overload or attack it).
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute a Pro license key.

Intellectual property

The Site's design, code, calculators, and branding belong to us. Your own estimate/project data, and anything you type into the tools, belongs to you — we don't claim any ownership of it, and (as covered above) we don't even have a copy of it.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. See the Disclaimer for the specific limits on the calculations themselves.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim (i.e. up to$99 for a Pro purchase, or $0 if you only used the free tools). We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the Site.

Termination

You can stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or revoke Pro access if your payment is refunded or reversed, or if we reasonably believe you've violated the acceptable-use section above.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
